The CoCo-80X’s latest software release includes a new signal analysis project for Sound Power applications. The Sound Power CSA features a graphic interface to show the test point status. There are multiple test room types and microphone arrangements. When the test is complete, a report is generated.
The sound pressure is measured in an essentially free sound field, and the sound power is determined from the sound pressure measurements. The user must first configure the testing arrangement and sensor options. The test room type, radius, and number of points must all be defined. Microphone positions for the various testing arrangements are defined in ISO standards 3744 and 3745.
